The Importance of Your Treating Doctor

The treating doctor will make a number of important decisions in your workers’ comp case, including:

• Your diagnosis and if your condition is work-related
• If you’re able to work and if so, any restrictions on your job duties
• your treatment plan(s)
• Making the appropriate referrals to specialists/MRI
• when you’ve recovered, or will be capable of returning to the workforce
• If there are any and to what extent you have permanent limitations as a result of your injury.

These decisions play a role in your recovery, they are also factors relevant to your NY Workers Compensation Case.
